How We Use Google Calendar API

MyPickleGroup uses the Google Calendar API to help you manage your pickleball game schedule. Here's exactly what we do with your Google Calendar data:

What Google Calendar Data We Access

  • Calendar Events: We access your Google Calendar to create, read, update, and delete calendar events related to your pickleball games
  • Basic Calendar Access: We request access to your primary calendar only

How We Use Google Calendar Data

  • Sync Games to Your Calendar: When you join or create a pickleball game, we can automatically add it to your Google Calendar
  • Update Events: If a game time or location changes, we automatically update the corresponding event in your Google Calendar
  • Remove Events: If a game is cancelled or you leave a game, we remove the event from your Google Calendar
  • Event Details: Calendar events include game title, location, time, organizer information, and a link back to the game details in MyPickleGroup

How We Store Google Calendar Data

  • Refresh Tokens: We securely store an encrypted OAuth refresh token that allows us to access your Google Calendar on your behalf
  • Event IDs: We store Google Calendar event IDs to track which games have been synced to your calendar
  • No Other Calendar Data: We do not read, store, or access any other events or information from your Google Calendar beyond the pickleball game events we create

Google Limited Use Disclosure

MyPickleGroup's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We only use your Google Calendar data for the specific purpose of syncing your pickleball games. We do NOT:
